Bow Valley is on the southern end of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. The very scenic Icefield's Parkway starts here and travels north to the town of Jasper.

HIDDEN LAKE NATURE TRAIL
From the top of Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, take the easy trail behind the visitor's center to the Hidden Lake overlook.
GREAT SAND DUNES
While at the national park, take the time for an early morning hike up the higher dunes. It's very tedious, but the views beyond the trampled lower dunes will make it a worthwhile effort.
LOWER YELLOWSTONE FALLS
While visiting Yellowstone National Park, a stop at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is a must. A short walk down the steep path will take you to the falls overlook. For a little stomach-churning excitement, just walk up to the edge of the falls and look down.
EMERALD LAKE
While visiting the Banff/Jasper area, a great side trip to Emerald Lake is a sure bet. There is a lodge, canoe rentals and a trail around the lake. Unlike most of the sites in the area being located in Alberta, Emerald Lake is located in British Columbia just over the crest of the Rocky Mountains.
GROTTO ICE CAVE
Along Highway CO82 between Aspen and Independence Pass, you will find the Grottos Trail leading to the ice caves. It's a bit of a climb to get into the ice caves, but worth the effort.

Keep your eyes peeled when driving through Montana.
CLEARWATER RIVER
Highway 12 west of Missoula goes through the Clearwater Mountains in Idaho and drops down along the Clearwater River towards the Lewiston/Clarkston area.
ARKANSAS RIVER BROWN TROUT
The Arkansas River east of Salida is a good place to fly fish for Brown Trout.
BACHELOR LOOP RUINS
Down in south central Colorado near the town of Creede is a 17 mile loop road that tours an old mining district.
MAROON BELLS REFLECTION
Up the trail from the famous Maroon Bells Lake is Crater Lake. While the lower lake is a mad house of photographers in the fall--the upper lake is just as pretty with few visitors.
HORSE RANCH PARK
Kebler Pass Road is the road between Crested Butte and Highway 133. Near the top is Horse Ranch Park, a popular stop-off and camping area adjacent to the road. Some of the most colorful Aspen in Colorado are found here.
POND BELOW MAROON BELLS LAKE
While Maroon Bells Lake is packed with photographers during the fall season, the area just below is left alone.
EAST FORK DALLAS CREEK
Mt. Sneffels rises above the meadows of this popular grazing area. In the fall, the colorful Aspen trees cover the hillsides.
